We Are Officially Retired

Since 1976 our family has dedicated our lives to the restaurant business.  We are proud to say that, over the years, between the Bradenton Herald and Herald Tribune, we have been selected as your Favorite Pizza Place 26 times, your Favorite Place for Lunch 15 times, Favorite Italian Restaurant eight times, and Best Overall Restaurant four times.  Needless to say we love what we do.  The greatest honor came when our little place was selected as the Small Business of the Year by the Manatee Chamber of Commerce. Our one small, family owned restaurant has spanned nearly a half century, employed more than 4,000 people, wrote more than 100,000 payroll checks and contributed more than $1.5 million back to this community in donations and sponsorships. Over the years, one of us would always miss a family event because we were working.  Our kids grew up too fast and now have families of their own.  Mondays seemed to be our day of rest and the day we celebrated any and all holidays because we were usually working on the actual day. Our story begun in 1970 when the family migrated to the United States in pursuit of the American dream.  Together we built a life beyond our wildest dreams in the greatest country on the face of this earth and after 46 amazing years we will be retiring.  Together as a family.  Saturday, April 16, 2022 will be the day the last “pie” is served.  We are so grateful to have met so many wonderful people that we now call friends.  We could not have made it without our incredible staff, some of which have been with us for the entire ride. Our decision to retire is not COVID-related but rather because we are physically and mentally exhausted.  It has been an honor to have served so many of you throughout the years.  The memories we have created will last a lifetime.  The last two years have been challenging to say the least, but we look forward to the next chapter of our family’s story.  That’s what Jimmy would have wanted.
